The Kentucky High School Athletic Association actually trademarked the conjoined words in 1988. So when the NCAA requested to use the official phrase in the media a few years later, the KHSAA asked for a nominal fee, which was provided. Every game of the Sweet 16 can be watched live on national television on either the CBS or TBS networks.
